Jim Spering is the mayor of Suisun City. Randy Starbuck is the Economic Development Director. Suisun has Victorian homes in Old Town and modern housing around its fringes. Also, recently built dwellings with live-work lofts and upscale restaurants and shops around its newly developed waterfront. The newly renovated waterfront is about a three-minute drive from the county capital offices in Fairfield.

Vacaville is a nice large town little more than a few minutes drive down I-80 from Fairfield. It has vibrant businesses, and is also a bedroom community for those working in Fairfield. Vacaville is nicely surrounded by pristine hills, and is at the intersections of highways I-80 and I-505.
